In recent years, ceramic fiber paper is a popular thermal insulation material in the market. It is light, thin and efficient. It is sought after by the majority of users. Now there are many inferior products on the market. The price is relatively low, but the naked eye is not very good. Distinguish good and bad, and even the surface looks slightly better than good quality, but poor-quality products have serious quality problems and hidden dangers.
In order to help consumers identify genuine and fake ceramic fiber paper and buy genuine to avoid economic losses, today I will teach you how to identify high-quality of it:
First, the weight of a single piece of ceramic fiber paper of conventional product size is about 7 kg, while the weight of counterfeit products is relatively light or relatively heavy.
Second, high-quality product is more expensive because of its high cost. And the relatively low price is undoubtedly inferior quality.
Third, the genuine product is relatively pure in color and will not appear variegated and relatively white, but not particularly white. The color of the imitation product will appear variegated and chaotic, generally yellowish.
Fourth, look at the content of slag balls. This does not need to be detected with equipment, but can be sensed by hand. First, touch the surface to see if there is too much powder in the slag balls, and then touch it after tearing it apart. How many boxes are the cracked slag balls? Wait, the reason for this is that many manufacturers simply apply a layer of glue on the surface in order to look good on the surface or to cover up the fact that there are too many slag balls. In fact, such product is the most unusable, because this layer of glue will volatilize when exposed to high temperature. If only the ceramic fibers are left, there will be delamination or scattering.
Fifth, do the combustion test. The method is very simple. Just use your lighter or gas stove to light it directly to see if there is any odor and smoke during the test. After a period of burning, it will not return to white. After the test, see if it will delaminate or fall apart. Good fiber paper has almost no odor and smoke, and will not delaminate or disperse when exposed to high temperatures.
Sixth, the most important point is to try it on your own equipment or objects. After the trial, which one is of good quality and which one is poor, of course, you can’t just look at the surface, you need to comprehensively consider which is good and which is bad from many aspects.
